Lego Titanic

Have you ever seen the blockbuster movie Titanic starring Leonardo di Caprio and Kate Winslet? If yes, then you may have marveled at the Titanic’s enormous size.  The movie depicts the ships design and its sinking which took place on the fateful wee hours of April 15, 1912. It was heading towards New York but it hit an iceberg on April 14 and it was about 3 hours after the collision when the whole ship sank. Nobody at that time even entertained the possibility that a ship with such size could sink. It was even referred to by some as the “unsinkable ship.” Sadly, the incident proved people wrong and until now, the Titanic lies at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, about almost 4000 meters below the sea. The search for the sunken ship went on for decades and it was finally found on 1985. The real story behind the movie makes the ship epic, and continues to draw people’s interest until now. Many people have been deeply moved and fascinated with the story that they even started collecting Titanic replicas and collectibles. Some toy companies even manufactured small versions of the ship. And now, young kids and those young at heart will be amazed to know that a lego Titanic has been made. Actually, there are a few of these lego-built ships  and some were made out of pure fun and some for exhibit purposes. Seems unimaginable? Well, now it’s not. This just proves that having a creative mind, the wildest imaginations and loads of patience and hardwork can make seemingly impossible things possible. With the tiniest details and complicated structures of the ship, the lego Titanic may not exactly be perfect inch by inch but still, it looks very much similar to the ship and that’s the important thing.

Lego Titanic

Both lego lovers and Titanic fans seem to be fascinated with the idea of building their own lego Titanic. It would be a great honor on their part once they get to complete their project and achieving such will also give them prestige and recognition for it is quite rare for people to devote all their time just to build a replica of the ill-fated ship. However, to those who were hoping to find an exact blueprint for the project, sadly there seems to be none. Lego has not actually released a blueprint for this nor a lego set which can be assembled through following given instructions. The ones who were able to build their own lego Titanic  really put their heart and soul into it. Such replicas which makes use of legos were made possible by spending a great deal of time and effort in researching Titanic’s design and shape as well as the other facts behind it. One really needs to use their imagination and creativity into practice in order to build a masterpiece as complicated as this. So to those who were able to build their own lego Titanic, kudos! To those who are still in the process of building one, the best of luck!
